BBS Varnamala 010_ Alphabetical India

GANAPATI

We can take a break here on the occasion of the Ganapati festival and let’s spare a session for Ganesh Chaturthi. Let’s give a wider and bigger picture to the children as a student of Bhartiy Bhasha about the 53 letters of bharat. It is a good idea to associate linguistic classroom with the culture within which it is developed. I know the linguistic is air- borne but is rooted in the land.  We are introducing 53 letters and have started with the Vowels. The numeric digits 1, 2 , 3….. have gone across the world from Indus valley civilization for its simplicity and compatibility to solve complex equation. The world has accepted the best. The zero took a long time to be accepted by others. Considerably the alphabetical development has not been amplified enough being a revolution in itself as the conceptual theories are not well presented. It further has relation to human psychology and sociology for what we stress the importance of alphabets in Bharatiy Bhasha besides general use of communication. It is integrated in all day to day life of an Indian. It’s an applied alphabetical psychology in practical sense. It is rooted so much in the social fabric that Alphabets – the Varnakshara plays its unique role in all. For an example the Ganesh Festival celebrated in the Bharat for last few days was for enrichment of the intellect energy for the wellbeing of our existence. It is a celebration of the letter “Ga” with all its power. The name of that energy body start with letter “GA” only. Ganapati, Ganesh, Gajanan. The ATHARVASHIRSH explains in details the formation of this particular sound. Children’s education begins with this letter in India for a specific reason. Hence we are discussing this here before we proceed further from the Swara – the Vowels. Have you seen the Natraj’s idol having musical instrument Damaroo (SOUND) in one hand and Fire (FORM) in the other.
